About My Practice
Healing happens in relationship - with ourselves, our communities, and our ancestors
“I believe that healing happens in relationship – with ourselves, our communities, and our ancestors. My approach integrates evidence-based therapeutic practices with culturally responsive care that honors the wisdom of African diasporic healing traditions. Every person who enters my practice brings a unique constellation of experiences, identities, and strengths. My role is to create a space where you can explore, process, and heal while being seen and affirmed in your full humanity.”
My Approach
I work from an Afrodynamic perspective – one that centers intersectional identity, history, and community. My practice is wholelistic: I consider who you are and what you wish to work through in conversation with the ecosystems to which you belong. I am a culturally-rooted and relationally-centered therapist who shows up fully in this work. I don’t rely on therapeutic scripts or one-size-fits-all approaches. Instead, I co-create a collaborative process tailored to your needs, your goals, and your lived reality.
Creative Arts as Healing
As a drama therapist, I intentionally engage creative processes to support emotional healing and personal growth. Creativity offers new entry points for working with and through experiences, issues, and challenges. When we access our creativity and embrace each step of the process, we can pave roads we didn’t even know were possible.
